happy 1st anniversary, zoë and aaron!
Last year, the days and weeks leading up to my daughter Zoë’s wedding at Berkeley Fieldhouse, passed in a blur of mounting excitement, planning (and Plan B-ing), copious phone calls and incredulity that although talked about for some time, a wedding was actually imminent. And in the homestretch, a posse of friends united to lend their time and boundless energy to craft the handmade, finishing touches.
The joy I felt that day imprinted itself on the sides of my heart; it is with me always. I have so much admiration for these two whose first three years of long-distance dating (Vancouver-LA-Toronto) tested every ounce of patience, faith and love they had.
The day blessed us with sublime weather, infectious joy, an unbeatable party, and all the love that our hearts could hold. So much of that shines through in this video (with music by Jason Isbell and Pharrell). I love you madly, guys!
And here are some previously unshared photos to round out last summer’s posts …
