sunday slowly
Summer has kicked in, at last, greening and growing everything. It seems I can’t get enough of the berries that are so plentiful, filling grocery shelves and markets. Happily, Toronto still has green grocers—neighbourhood stores, resplendent with wooden tables outside overflowing with fruit and vegies. I’m always pulled to the berries and the occasional bunch of flowers, most of which trump the ubiquitous grocery store variety.
I’m excited to meet up with a friend who’s visiting from out of town, an old restaurant kitchen comrade. It’s been too long. We’ll see where the day takes us …
Enjoy it all, friends!
